About

I came to this work late, and on purpose.

Nearly twenty years as a stay-at-home mom and a military spouse. Then a license, and a plan of my own.

For close to two decades, my job was my family. I raised kids, ran a household, and moved it whenever the Army said so. Military spouses know the drill: you pack a life, you rebuild it somewhere new, and you figure out the schools, the doctors, and the grocery store in about three weeks.

Why real estate

I got licensed because I wanted something that was mine — independence, and income that builds over time instead of restarting with every duty station. That’s a plain answer, and it’s the true one.

What I didn’t expect was how much of the old job carried over. Managing a move is managing a hundred moving parts under a deadline while keeping everyone calm. That is most of what a good agent does.

The communication thing

Here’s my honest opinion of this industry: most agents under-communicate. Not out of malice — it’s just easier to go quiet when there’s nothing pleasant to report. But silence is where clients start imagining the worst, and it’s where avoidable problems grow.

I’ve been the person waiting on information someone else already had. It’s an awful feeling and it’s completely preventable. So I over-communicate. Weekly updates whether the news is good or not. Same-day answers during a live transaction. And I tell you the parts that aren’t fun to hear — the price is too high, the inspection changed the math, the buyer’s financing looks shaky — while there’s still time to do something about it.

What I’m good at

  • Pricing strategically, based on what actually sold nearby.
  • Negotiating the full contract, not just the number at the top.
  • Knowing Belton, Temple, Salado, Killeen, and Harker Heights street by street.
  • Staying hands-on from the first showing through the closing table.
